#56: shoot, girl!
Meredith is a friend from my college days; she was a few years older but we were in Women's Choir together and I especially treasured the conversations we had on the long bus rides from state to state during Spring Tour. She has been working in Kosovo for the last several years and apparantly she came to Germany for a few days with a friend to get a car. As I sat in chapel this morning I felt a tap on my shoulder. When I turned around, Meredith was beaming down at me and I stared at her, completely perplexed. It took me a good five seconds to realize who she was, but then suddenly I recognized her and jumped up to give her a huge hug. This makes two unexpected visitors in one week! #51: twinsies
OK, so for the first time ever, I missed a day. Despite it being a home basketball weekend, I just didn't find any of the scenery yesterday inspiring. This afternoon as I sat at school lesson planning I agonized over what today's picture would be too, as I was just feeling drained of any and all creative juices. Then my friend Katrina came in wearing the same sweatshirt as me (we sub at the same dorm) and I had my picture. Enjoy.

Happy February and #32: morning fix
Happy February! I have no idea how many people are actually following this blog - only one person will admit it publicly (hi Alice!), and only two people have commented (hi Mom and Grandma!). Hopefully you're enjoying this daily peek into my life and not bored to tears by my lack of photography skills. I've definitely been experimenting quite a bit during this first month with lighting, focus, etc. Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot I can manipulate when using a point and shoot, but until I can afford one of those fancy shmancy DSLRs I'll work my Kodak EasyShare for all it's worth.

I've made it a personal rule to avoid posting school-related photos here, so you won't get any updates here...though I have and will break that rule from time to time if something interesting and photogenic enough comes up.
